We will be celebrating Valentines this week!  We read a book on Kindness today.   We will be reading Clifford’s Valentine and many other Valentines books this week.

We are also talking about the letter Kk and the number 6.

The children may bring in Valentines for the class on Friday.  We will make little bags in class this week that the children can put their Valentines in.  Then they can all bring in Valentines and put them in the bags Friday morning.  There are 13 children in the class.  You don’t need to put names on the Valentines, we’ll just give one to each child.

Ms. Eastham and I will have some games, activities and a movie for them that day.  All students are encouraged to wear red or pink for Valentine’s Day.

There is no school on Monday, Feb. 17 for President’s Day.

If you have not yet registered for next year, please do so soon!  The Preschool classes and Kindergarten classes seem to fill up first!  Also, if you register before spring break (March 26), the $100 registration fee will be waived.

Our Parent’s Organization (PRIDE) meets this Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m.. in the 6th grade room.   Please join us if you can!!!

There are a number of things you can buy at this time (please do not feel obligated):

8th grade is selling Glow Grams for Valentines.  They are $1 each. The money goes towards the 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C.

The Student Council is selling Mardi Gras Packs.  They are $3 each.  They will be delivered on the day before Ash Wednesday (Tuesday, Feb. 25).

Thanks so much!

Mrs. Langferman
