What a fun week we had last week! Celebrating Catholic Schools’ Week was a blast! The kids loved watching Toy Story on Monday afternoon in the PLC with the whole school! The dress up days were fun, too!
We also loved Dinosaur week! The children got to play with all the plastic dinosaurs and we sang lots of dinosaur songs and read books about dinosaurs, too.
This week we are talking about Staying Healthy and Safe! These are very appropriate topics right now! We are learning about how important it is to wash our hands, cover our cough and sneezes AND keep our hands out of our mouths!
We will also be covering how to stay safe in an emergency. We will talk about what an emergency is. We will show them the numbers 9-1-1 and tell them to call that if their parent or adult cannot do it for them.
We had a fire drill today! The kids did very well!
Our letter of the week is Jj and our number is 5.
Our Bible Verse for February is, “God is love”. 1 John 4:8.
Thanks to all of you who sent in snacks for the local firefighters and police. Our school was able to send a huge bag of donations to many different stations in the area. Thanks so much!!!
We hope you have a great week and that every stays healthy!!
Mrs. Langferman and Ms. Eastham
P.S. We will be sending home another flyer for Scholastic Books this week for the month of February. Please return your order (or order online), if you want to order anything—by Monday, Feb. 10. Thanks so much!
