The Lion Cubs have enjoyed our Dr. Seuss week!  The children have really done a great job listening to the stories!  They love books so much!  Please read to them at home as much as you can–they just soak it up like a sponge!

We made “Thing One” or “Thing Two” finger puppets on Wednesday.  (Each child made just one).  We used our egg cartons to count to 12 this week, too.

We are going to be talking about St. Patrick and St. Patrick’s day next week.  We will also teach the children about the Trinity:  Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Of course, each day when we do prayer in class, we begin and end with the Sign of the Cross:  “In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit”.  We will be reviewing the color green and learning the letter Mm and the number 13.

Daylight savings time begins on Sunday, March 10.  Remember to move your clocks forward one hour on Saturday night.  Try to get your little ones to bed as early as possible this weekend so that they are not so tired on Monday.  The time changes are hard on these little ones!

Thursday, March 21 is our last day of school before spring break.  School resumes on Monday, April 1.

Have a great weekend.  Just remember:  It may be snowing today, but spring IS coming!!!
