Week of November 5th

Religion- We are finishing up the Sacraments of Initiation, and moving into the Sacraments of Healing. Everyone should be studying notes and flashcards nightly so when it comes to test time, Thursday, no one will have to cram. Yes we will have a test over Baptism, Eucharist, and all definitions we have learned so far. Best method of study flashcards and the page from our white binder with a picture of Jesus on it.

Science-Invertebrates are animals that do not have a spine. While students may be more familiar with vertebrates, it is the invertebrate group that represents over 95 percent of all animals on Earth. This unit explores six groups of invertebrates: poriferans (sponges), cnidarians (e.g., sea jellies and corals), echinoderms (e.g., sea urchins and sea stars), mollusks (e.g., octopuses, snails, and clams), annelids (worms), and arthropods (e.g., insects, spiders, and crustaceans).

Social Studies- All things Mounds and other Native Americans from Indiana is our current study. This week we will concentrate on the vocabulary for this theme. Everyone should be studying notes and flashcards nightly so when it comes to test time no one will have to cram.

Math: We will continue to work on two digit multiplication this week, including story problems.

Language Arts-This week we will concentrate on comprehension and recall.   All activities will give us practice in both areas. Everyone needs to take an AR quiz this week too.
