Information will come home this week about our Multiplication Sundae Activity that will hopefully help motivate the class to learn their facts!  I will let you know in the daily email when that is coming home! Look for it later this week!

SCIENCE – We will focus on Social Studies this week.

SOCIAL STUDIES – We are talking about how Communities are different sizes, how every community has a story, primary and secondary sources, and reading a timeline.  I am looking at a test on Friday if the first part of the week goes according to plan. Below is the link for the TEST HINTS for this chapter!  Watch the daily emails for up to date information.

Every year the Religious Ed. classes and the School classes donate baskets to needy families in our community!  Again this year, we have been asked to donate items that will be donated to a family.  I have attached a link to a SIGN-UP GENIUS for you to look through and see if you can donate anything.  I do not know the details of the family yet, but I will be sure to let you know as soon as I find out from Mrs. Haney.  All basket items need to be brought in by Thursday, Nov. 15!  That gives me a day to make sure that we have everything we need for the family.  Please see the link below

School Sweatshirts / Winter Coats
As we approach the Fall and Winter seasons, please be aware that the uniform policy says “School sweatshirts are the only ones allowed and must be worn with a collared uniform shirt underneath.”
I usually have my window opened at least a little all year long, so if your child is one to get cold easily, you may want to make sure they have and bring, a school uniform sweatshirt to wear in class.

Also, as we get closer to winter weather, please be sure your child comes to school each day with a coat or heavy jacket.  Hats and gloves are also good to have tucked into the pockets!  We will go outside unless it is 25 degrees or below!  ALL STUDENTS NEED TO BE PREPARED FOR OUTDOOR RECESS!!!

TARDIES/SPIRIT DAYS –
AS STATED IN THE HANDBOOK – If your child is tardy 3 times during the month, they will not be allowed to dress out of uniform for Spirit Day.  If they have 6 or more tardies in the same month, they will not be allowed to dress out of uniform nor will they be allowed to participate in Spirit Day.
So for example – if your child was tardy up to 5 days during September, they will not be allowed to come out of uniform this Friday.  If they had more then 6 tardies in September, they will not be allowed to come out of uniform AND they will not be allowed to participate with the school during Spirit Day.

PE CLOTHES – Starting this week, students will need to make sure to have sweatpants or leggings to put on after PE class before we go out for dismissal.  As we get into colder, snowy weather, I do not want the kids out walking through the parking lot in their PE shorts!  Again, please make sure they have their PE Uniform for THURSDAYS and most FRIDAYS!  They also need sweatpants, leggings, or something to put on over their shorts for dismissal!
