Last week we celebrated our VIPs. Thanks to all the special visitors that came. The kids really enjoyed having them here!
Lion Cubs had a good week working on our Mother’s Day projects and reading books about Moms. We hope you know you are a “Superhero” to your kids. Hopefully your candy bar got there all in one piece!!!
We read “I’ll love your forever”! If you can find a copy of this and read it to your child, it will become a favorite! We also talked about Mary, the Mother of Jesus. Our Bible verse we are memorizing is Luke 1:28. “Hail Mary, Mother of God, the Lord is with you.”
Next week we will talk about zoo animals. Hopefully you can take your child to the zoo this summer sometime! On Wednesday your child may bring in a stuffed animal that is something they might see at the zoo. We can have a pretend zoo at school!!!
I need to clarify some information about field day. Lion Cubs and Kindergarten Bound do not participate in the field day activities. It has always been Kindergarten through 8th grade and they participate in the games on mixed teams. We will have school that day and can wear the field day shirts if you purchased one. We usually just make it a really fun day with age appropriate activities. If you have any questions, just let me know.
There is no class on Monday, May 28 (Memorial Day). Our last day of school is Thursday, May 31 with a 1 p.m. dismissal.
