I have sent out an email through Jupiter about our Thanksgiving Blessing Basket.  Please consider donating to help out a family in need this Thanksgiving.  Our class has been assigned a family of 5 with 2 adults and 3 kids (one girl age 11 and two boys ages 9 and 3 months).  Please visit the link below for more information and to sign up to donate.  Thank you in advance for your help!

I will be sending home a small family project later this week.  Students will receive one paper feather to decorate with their family as they choose.  We will put all the feathers together to make a class turkey to display outside of our room.  More information to come home soon! 😊

A reminder for the cold weather—students are no longer allowed to wear shorts again until after Spring Break.  We go outside for recess unless the temperature goes below 25 degrees.  Please make sure your child is dressing for the weather and has a coat.  Thank you!

Here is what we are working on this week:

Reading/Phonics:

Our theme this week is Food/Health.  Our essential question is: “What’s for dinner?”

Our color of the week is gray.  Our two popcorn words are “are” and “look.”

Our letter of the week is Hh.

Please work with your child at home to ensure that they have mastered the following words:

Jesus, God, blue, can, I, red, the, we, yellow, like, green, a, to, and, see, play, purple, orange, go, is, pink, brown, black, have, you, for, white, gray, are, look

Math:

Represent and compare numbers 1-10.

Writing:

Drawing real life pictures with 3-star coloring (colors make sense, no white spaces, staying in the lines) and using labels.  We are working on sounding out words.

Looking forward to another great week in Kindergarten! 😊
