The Lion Cubs had a great time celebrating Halloween on Monday.  We talked about Saints on Wednesday. November 1st is the Feast of All Saints.   We made a little craft with a medal of a saint and modeling clay.  The kids will bring them home soon and please let them dry a little longer!   Once they are dry, the kids can use them to remember to pray and be a saint!

Next week we are talking about manners!  We will talk about the importance of saying “Please” and “Thank you”!  We will also be talking about germs and how to keep them from spreading!  Now that the cold/flu season is here, we are going to be stressing the importance of washing hands and covering coughs and sneezes!

Thanks for sending the children in with coats, hats and gloves!  You never know what the weather is going to be doing, but it’s good to have them dressed warm, as we will go out for recess unless it is below freezing.  Please remember to send them in shoes that they can play in as well.

You should have received an email about the Thanksgiving Blessing Baskets.  This is through a Sign Up Genius.  If you don’t mind, it is much easier if you go though the online sign up so that we can see what is coming.  You can mark down what you plan to bring and bring it in anytime by Nov. 17.  The baskets will be delivered to a family that weekend, just in time for Thanksgiving.

Next week on Friday Nov. 10 our Parent’s Organization (PRIDE) is sponsoring “Donuts with Dad”.  Kids can bring their Dad to the PLC  anytime from 7 a.m. to the start of school to have donuts.  (Watch for “Muffins with Moms”  to happen next time).

Thank you for sharing your children with us at St. Rose.
