Happy Monday!

We now have our first field trip scheduled.  We will be going to The Apple Works on Tuesday, October 10th in the morning.  Our class will be taking a bus there.  More information will be coming home soon.  If you would like to be a chaperone, please be sure that you have your Safe and Sacred training completed.  You may ask the office if you have any questions regarding the training.  Please see the link below to take the training.

Don’t forget to sign up for our classroom Facebook page if you are interested.  This will be a great way for me to share photos that I take of the kiddos at school.  This page is a private, closed Group page.  Therefore, no one will be able to see anything on the page unless you are a member of the Group.  On this page, you can also share videos or pictures of your child, ask questions, or look for important information that I may provide.  Below, please find a link to the page.

Please make sure your child is dressing in the proper uniform for school.  If you have any questions regarding the uniform, please see the St. Rose handbook.

Please continue working on popcorn words (sight words) and letter sounds at home, especially if your child is struggling with these!  If you need anything to help you practice at home, including a list of our sight words or flash cards, please let me know!

Here is what we are working on this week:

Our color word this week is orange.  We are reviewing our other popcorn words this week.  Please work with your child at home to ensure that they have mastered the following words:

Jesus, God, blue, can, I, red, the, we, yellow, like, green, a, to, and, see, play, purple, orange

Our letter of the week is Ii.

We are continuing to practice retelling stories.  We are reviewing nouns and introducing verbs.

Comparing numbers to 5 and counting to 100 by ones and tens.  Writing numbers correctly from 0-20.

Drawing real life pictures with 3-star coloring (colors make sense, no white spaces, staying in the lines) and using labels.
