Urgent Message regarding Monday, August 21st.

Franklin Schools have decided to alter their Monday, August 21st schedule. This message was sent out earlier today:
“Our school board decided last night to bump school back one hour on August 21st, thereby extending our school day one hour and avoiding sending elementary students home during the height of the eclipse. This was decided in an effort to keep students safe from looking at the sun unprotected and injuring
their eyes. Therefore, on Monday, August 21st, school will begin at 8:30, with the tardy bell at 8:40, and will end at 3:20. PALM, lunches, and recess w
ill remain on our normal schedule.””

St. Rose will begin our day as usual; but, we are changing dismissal to 3:20pm on Monday, August 21st. If you choose to pick-up your child at the usual time, please feel free to do so. Otherwise, this will allow the exposure of the eclipse to have passed enough to be safe for dismissal. If your child rides the Franklin bus, he/she will be excused from being tardy.

You are welcome to join us Monday morning from 8 – 8:30 for an informative presentation about the eclipse. Thank you for your understanding as we witness this historical event!
