The Kindergarten Program will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24th in the PLC. The children need to meet Mrs. Salazar and me in our classroom at 6:10 p.m. The children may dress up or may dress casual. However, I would like to request that they do not wear jeans or “play clothes.” The children will be performing a program that will last about 30-40 minutes. We will be using a few props; some of these props will be hats. If the girls plan on wearing ponytails or pigtails, I would like to ask you to please make sure they aren’t up real high because this makes it difficult for them to put the hats on easily. Thin clips may be easier as far as that goes. Following the program the children will receive their certificates and then there will be a small reception. The children have been working hard and are ready to show you what they’ve been working on. I think you are in for a real treat! In case you didn’t know it, I have some pretty talented students! 🙂 Mrs. Salazar and I have enjoyed listening to them sing the songs they have been learning!
POEMS: Please be sure your child is practicing their poem that they will be reciting for the Kindergarten program . These came home last week. A few of the children have told me they have not started practicing yet. If you have misplaced your child’s poem, please let me know ASAP so that I can send home another copy. The children are to be working on these 2-3 times a week at home. We will begin practicing for the program here at school the week of May 15th so hopefully all of the children will have them memorized by then. Thanks for your help! I still can’t believe that we only have 3 1/2 weeks of school left. I know I’ve already said it, but where has this year gone? WOW!
Last, but certainly not least, Hadley was our STAR student this week! Hadley was born on May 1, 2010 at 8:53 p.m. in Indianapolis. She was very excited to tell us all about the pictures on her door. Hadley LOVES her family very much! She really looks up to her 3 big sisters, Hannah, Abby and Nakayla. Hadley is proud of Hannah who is an A+ student and she loves to cheer on Abby who is a star Lady Cub basketball player. She misses Nakayla because she is “grown up” and doesn’t live at home anymore. Hadley said she likes it when her sisters play with her when their mom is at work, but sometimes they make her just sit in their bedrooms which Hadley thinks is very boring! Hadley loves to sleep in and snuggle with her mom. She loves her mom’s kisses too! Hadley’s name has special meaning, it means “field of Heather” and Heather is her mom’s name. 🙂 Hadley really likes when her step dad, Kevin, takes her to get ice cream. She LOVES ice cream, especially the crunch cones. Hadley’s favorite place to go is Florida. She enjoys going to the beach and finding shells. She also likes it when her sisters bury her in the sand. She thinks that is a lot of fun! Hadley’s favorite movie is Trolls and her favorite toys are her Shopkins and her American Girl doll. Hadley loves to read. Her favorite foods are ice cream and spaghetti. She LOVES Starbucks too! Hadley loves all animals and they love her. She hopes to work with animals when she gets older. Hadley has 2 dogs (Duke & Daisy) and 2 cats (Tatum & Esme). She said the dogs like to chase the cats into the basement so she has to yell at them to stop. Hadley used to have a duck, April, but she ran away and she really misses her. Hadley enjoys playing soccer and basketball. Her favorite color is purple. Thanks for sharing, Hadley!

*Be sure to sell, sell, sell those raffle tickets for the dinner auction. There are a lot of great raffle items for great prices. Click here to check it out: Dinner Auction 2017 Raffle Items . The Kindergarten class REALLY wants a party for selling the most raffle tickets. Mrs. Boring wanting/needing a massage has nothing to do with it. 🙂 If you need more raffle tickets here they are, just click on the attachment: Dinner Auction 2017 Rafle Tickets . I’m sure your child would LOVE to do some extra chores around the house to earn a raffle ticket for the “once a month NUT day” next year! 🙂
*If you are able to help at the upcoming dinner auction in May, please be sure to check out the Sign Up Genius’. If you have questions, please contact Pride at [email protected].
*If you are finished with a PLASTIC peanut butter or jelly container, please send it in with your child. We are collecting these for our Kindergarten program. You’ll see what they are for when the time comes. 🙂 Please be sure the containers are plastic, clean and with the label still on it (if possible; no worries if not).
