Happy Easter Week!
The Lion Cubs had a short week this week, due to being off on Easter Monday. We talked about the letter Mm this week and made macaroni necklaces! We also traced the letter M in salt. They love activities that provide sensory experiences!
Next week we will cover the letter Nn. We will also be talking more about spring and signs of spring that we see all around us.
Please mark your calendars for our upcoming VIP Day. This will be Friday, May 5. If you want your child to invite a grandparent (or grandparents) please do so. You must RSVP and pay ahead for the lunch for the grandparent ($3.50 for an adult lunch that day). Please let me know if your child will be coming (if they don’t usually attend on a Friday). More information is available on the webpage. The forms were sent home this week to make a reservation. The preschoolers will have the grandparents visit the classroom, go to Mass with them, then go to lunch and watch the musical program. (Only Kindergarten through 5th grade and middle school choir are in the program). The students may then go home with a parent or grandparent but we need the signed permission slip which is on the reservation form. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me or call the school office.
Mrs. Rachel Snedegar has been a helper in our room since last November. She does a great job with the kids and will be with them several times this next week while I am out giving Istep tests to middle school. The kids probably talk about her but they have a hard time saying her name (as if mine weren’t hard enough!). If you see her, tell her thanks! She has been doing this strictly as a volunteer this year and has been here every Monday and Wed. morning.
Have a great weekend!
