This week we are learning about the Three Branches of the Government.  Ask your child about the “techy” thing they learned today concerning links and Google Docs.  Nifty stuff!

Speaking of nifty, we are starting our Fifty Nifty United States unit.  Students have a list/map of ten states/capitals/locations/postal abbreviations to study each week. Our first quiz will be Friday, April 14th!  Hang on for 5 weeks of fun!  Finish with an ALL 50 STATES test!

Reading- Fictional Story

Story: Getting Out the Vote

Skill: Make Generalizations

Vocab. Words : 8 from the story

Vocab. for Achievement: Lesson 16 Family; quiz on Friday

Spelling: list of 20 words, students have both electronic copy and hard copy; test on Friday

Science- From the desk of Mrs. Tieken:

We have begun our study of force and motion.  Our next assessment will be later next week. Because we continuously have students losing their booklets and require a second and sometimes a third copy, I will be charging for the new copies.  I will charge 10 cents a page, this booklet is 6 pages so a new one will cost 60 cents. So if your student loses their Force and Motion booklet they will not receive another copy until the 60 cents has been paid.

Questions, comments, or concerns please email me at [email protected]  or I invite you to call me at home, your child has my number in their planner.

Peace and blessings
