Lion Cubs have had a busy week.  We made kites this week in class while we talked about the letter Kk.  It was exciting to hear the children say it was a diamond shape!  What a great connection!

Next week we celebrate Holy Week.  We will talk to the children about the events that lead up to Easter.  If you can join our school at the prayer service on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. we will remember how Jesus washed the feet of the disciples and taught us about the Eucharist.  The 8th graders will present “Mary’s Way of the Cross” on Friday at 12:15.  Dismissal on Friday, April 14, will be at 1 p.m. and there will be no school on Easter Monday, April 17.  Just to clarify, the Lion Cubs do not join the school at Mass and prayer services, but you are invited to come to church anytime.

DISMISSAL ON FRIDAY, APRIL 14 WILL BE AT 1 PM.  Please pick up your preschooler at the main doors as usual.  The Kindergarten through 8th grade will be dismissed from church, so be aware of that.  There is no extended care on that day.

There are many exciting events happening at St. Rose during these last several weeks at school.  Please pay attention to all the Jupiter messages that you receive from Mrs. Carnes.  I will try to keep you updated, but I may not include everything!  Just keep your eyes open for the big events:  Art show on Saturday, April 29, VIP day on Friday, May 5, Our annual Dinner Auction on Saturday, May 13, Mrs. Adam’s retirement reception on Sunday, May 21, and last day of school on Wed., May 31.

VIP (Very Important Person) Day is a special day when the children invite their grandparents or another important adult in their life to visit school for the day.  If you have out of town grandparents, (or just busy ones) and you want to let them mark their calendar now, it might be a good idea to let them know.

Have a great Holy Week and you will hear from me again next Friday!
