The Lion cubs have been busy in the classroom.  They really enjoyed playing with shaving creme this week and also making the letter “F” out of feathers! We also played with a “fishing game” and we learned that F is the first letter in fish. We read a book about “Fidgety Fish” and also a couple books about “Franklin” the turtle.   Since there was no school on Monday, our Wednesday morning was crammed full of actitivies!  Our full week students have just a little more time to work on centers and just a little more time to play as well.

We are getting ready to start Lent next week.  This is something we will talk about in the classroom as we explain to the little ones that it is the time when we get our hearts ready for Easter.  We will be talking about the letter G.  We are still working on our colors and shapes, fine motor skills, listening skills, and discipline skills.  We have really enjoyed being able to go to the playground.  Thanks for remembering to send jackets, we will still be needing them!

If you get a chance, come to our school Mass on Wednesday at 8:30 a.m. where the school will celebrate the Ash Wednesday Mass.  (The Lion Cubs will not go to Mass-fyi).  Also, the St. Rose Fish Fry is coming back on Friday, March 3 beginning at 4:30 p.m.

Thanks for sending your child to St. Rose!  If you have not signed up for next year, please remember to do so ASAP!
