The Lion Cubs had a special visitor this week!  Mrs. Claus came all the way from the North Pole to read a story to us! We were very good listeners!

The children are very busy playing and learning how to play with each other.  They are doing a great job!  Their imaginative play is so fun to watch!

We continue to work on days of the week, months of the year and the numbers on the calendar.  We also talk about the weather each day.   We have been reading lots of Christmas books and talking about the Christmas story.  They are learning about Mary, Joseph, baby Jesus, the angels, shepherds and Wise Men.  We sing, “Mary Had a Baby, Yes, Lord”.

Our last day is Wednesday, Dec. 21.  School will be dismissed at 1 p.m. that day and there is no extended care.  The Lion Cubs will be having a little Christmas party that day during our class time.

School resumes on Monday, Jan. 9.  We will be working on learning some of the alphabet and the sounds of the letters, as well as talking about the numbers 1-5 and counting.

A new snack schedule will be coming out on Jupiter email.   Thanks to all of you for donating snacks for the first semester.  You have been very generous.

All of us at St. Rose School hope you and your family have a wonderful, blessed Christmas!!!
