Lion Cubs are getting ready for Thanksgiving.  We made something special for our Thanksgiving dinner table this week.  In art we made turkeys and in class we made some special placemats. We are talking and singing about what we are thankful for.

Monday next week is our school’s Thanksgiving feast.  The entire school will have lunch together.  You may still pack a lunchbox if you don’t think your child will eat any of the food, but otherwise, it’s a good idea to let them try the turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy.  There will also be some pumpkin pudding!

There will be no extended care next Tuesday, Nov. 22.  There will be no school on Wed. Nov. 23 or the rest of that week.  We will be back together on Monday, Nov. 28.

Our school is collecting new hats, mittens, scarves, baby bottles, pacifiers, bibs and rattles for the foster children of CASA of Johnson County.  Please bring these to school between now and Dec. 2.  This is a good idea to involve your child in this activity or some other charitable cause this season to help them think of others this Christmas Season.  Thanks in advance for your generosity!

Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Thanksgiving next week!!
