The fruit of the Spirit for November is GOODNESS! Seems perfect for the month of Thanksgiving, doesn’t it?
Here is this week’s update for each class…
6th Grade begins the Old Testament historical period of “Israel in Egypt.” This fascinating period will cover the Moses, the 10 plagues, and the Passsover. This is the most important period of history for a Jewish person. The crossing of the Red Sea and the Passover, particularly, are mentioned often throughout the Bible as a reminder of the power of God and the way He always rescues His people from trouble. Because it is so important, we will be in the Egypt section for the next several weeks. Reminder: 6th grade journals are due every Friday.
7th Graders return to their study of the life of Christ. This week will focus on the parables Jesus told while on earth, and the lessons He conveyed through them.
8th Graders are still working their way through “The four marks of the Church: The Church is One, Holy, Catholic, and Apostolic.” This week they will study “The Church is Apostolic,” which means that the Church’s authority has been handed down in an unbroken line from Jesus, to Peter and the other apostles, to our present-day pope, bishops, and priests. 8th grade journals are due this Friday.
