Week of October 3-7

Religion- We have moved on to study the Mass. This is perfect because we are in charge of planning and doing the parts for Mass on the 6th. Mass parts will come home tomorrow. Please encourage practice. The study of the Mass will come straight from the Roman missal and the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It will help the students deepen their knowledge of the first Mass being the Last Supper.

Science- Wednesday we will have our final assessment for the vertebrates chapter.

Social Studies-Thursday is the end of the chapter assessment. Your child has a study guide and needs to know the relative location of our state to have success in this activity.

Math- 4th Grade Math: We will wrap up this 1st quarter with a Chapter 3 Test. Students should be able to demonstrate adding and subtracting of greater numbers. We will work this week on subtracting across zeros. Please review with your student the rules for regrouping. Our test will be on Friday. Have a good Fall Break!

Reading- Diamante and Montage are a couple of new words we will tackle this week. Clues for the montage are written in your child’s planner. Part 1 of the montage is due on Wednesday. Print to me if you can’t print from home. Please DO NOT send me whole websites. I will not print them.

English-Poetry and adjectives are in the plans this week.
