RELIGION  We will finish up chapter 1 this week.  We will have a test on Wednesday over chapter 1.  Be watching for TEST HINTS in the daily email.  Our next chapter has us learning about the Sacraments of Initiation.  We will talk about Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation.    

**Don’t forget students should wear Mass Uniform on mass days!  This is blue pants and white shirts for the boys.  Plaid skirt or jumper with a white shirt for the girls!  

 SPELLING Our spelling words this week will be words with Long Vowel sounds.  We will test on Wednesday and Friday.  We had all 15 students get 100% on their tests by last Friday!  SUPER JOB!!  Don’t forget the spelling list can be found at the link below!

READING – Our story this week is called “Dear Juno.”  We will work on characters, setting, and plot.  We will also talk about using a time line and context clues. We will have a test on Friday.

GRAMMAR We will add commands and exclamations to what we learned last week about different types of sentences.  We will work on writing the different types of sentences with our spelling words this week.  We will also start our first lesson in our Vocabulary books.  

MATH We will continue to work on number patterns and place value this week. We will also work on comparing, ordering, and rounding numbers. 

SCIENCE – We will continue with chapter 1 this week in Science.  We will be talking about plants and their needs.  We will also look at the life cycle of plants.  

SOCIAL STUDIES   We will focus on Science for a few weeks.


**Remember…We have MASS on Thursdays.  Please make sure your child is wearing their Mass Uniform!  We also have PE on Thursdays and some Fridays this year!  Please be sure your child has clothes to change into for these two days as well!
