The Kindergarten Program will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18th  in the PLC.  The children need to meet Mrs. Salazar and me in our classroom at 6:10 p.m.  The children may dress up or may dress casual.   However, I would like to request that they do not wear jeans or “play clothes.” The children will be performing a program that will last about 30-40 minutes.  We will be using a few props;  some of these props will be hats.  If the girls plan on wearing ponytails or pigtails, I would like to ask you to please make sure they aren’t up real high because this makes it difficult for them to put the hats on easily.  Thin clips may be easier as far as that goes.  We will be needing ONE prop from home.  I would like for each of the children to bring a teddy bear (not life size please 🙂 ) to school with them on Monday.  Please be sure to send one that they can live without until Wednesday evening.  We will be practicing with our props for the 1st time on Monday.  If your child does not have a teddy bear, I do have a few extra they can borrow.  Following the program the children will receive their certificates and then there will be a small reception. The children have been working hard and are ready to show you what they’ve been working on.   Mrs. Salazar and I have been enjoying listening to them sing the songs they have been learning!   Please continue practicing your child’s poem with him/her.  They are doing a WONDERFUL job!  I’ve been very impressed!  Thanks for your help!  If you signed up to donate cookies or drinks for the reception following the program, please be sure to send these items in by next Wednesday morning so I can get things ready after school.  I may also need some help putting away bleachers and chairs when the program/reception is over.  It’s always a very long day and clean up goes much faster if I have a few extra hands to help (especially since Mr. Boring will be at the firehouse and unable to help this year 🙂 ).  

End of Year Out-of-Uniform Deal

How would you like to be out of uniform from May 19 to May 25???? Here is the deal:  From now until May 19th your child can bring in a 12-pack of soda for the Parish Festival (one per family).  Below are the suggested flavors: Preschool – Diet Coke/Diet Pepsi, Kindergarten – Coke/Pepsi, 1 st grade – Coke/Pepsi,  2nd grade – Root Beer (no diet), 3rd grade – Mountain Dew, 4th grade – Fanta Orange or Grape Soda (no diet)  &  5th grade—8th Grade—Bottled water.  If you send in your donation with an older sibling, please send me an e-mail so that I know your child can be out of uniform.

*5/19  Kindergarten Pizza party for selling the most raffle tickets for the dinner auction.  🙂  Kindergarten students will NOT need to pack a lunch on Thursday.  Owen’s birthday snack.  8th Grade Graduation 7:00 p.m.

*5/24  Move Up Day (Kindergarten students will visit Mrs. Adams class to see what being in 1st grade at St. Rose is all about.)

*5/25  Last Day of School.  We will dismiss at 1:30, there will be NO EXTENDED CARE.  Join us for mass on the hill at 12:30.

*Thanks to the Kindergarten students/parents for helping to support the upcoming dinner auction by selling raffle tickets and tickets to the prom!  The children are very excited about their NUT day, Dilly Bars and their pizza party! They even appeared to be happy that I won a massage thanks to all of you!  🙂  THANK YOU!!!!!  I am so EXCITED!
