kgheartVIP Day was a very SPECIAL DAY for everyone! The children had a chance to “show off” our classroom, the incubator,  their seeds and some of their school work. The children were also given the opportunity to get their picture taken, celebrate at mass and eat lunch with their special guests. They did a GREAT job singing their songs during the program too.  It was evident our special guests were enjoying every minute of it!  It was very nice getting to meet so many of my students’ grandparents and SPECIAL VIP’S. I hope all of our visitors enjoyed their day as much as we did! It was a pleasure meeting our new VIP’s and seeing some familiar faces again!

POEMS: Please be sure your child is practicing their poem that they will be reciting for the Kindergarten program . These came home in last week’s Friday folders. A few of the children have told me they have not started practicing yet. If you have misplaced your child’s poem, please let me know ASAP so that I can send home another copy. The children are to be working on these 2-3 times a week at home. We will begin practicing for the program here at school the second week of May so hopefully all of the children will have them memorized by then. Thanks for your help! I still can’t believe that we only have 3 1/2 weeks of school left. I know I’ve already said it, but where has this year gone? WOW!

KGScroll**Our 8th grade buddies will be graduating (in church) from St. Rose on Thursday, May 19th at 7:00 p.m.   If you are able to come to their graduation mass, I’m sure they would love to see you. It’s always nice for the “little ones” to see what they have to look forward to as they continue to learn and grow here at St. Rose.**

May Crowning

Our annual May Crowning, when we honor our Blessed Mother Mary, will be at our weekly mass next Thursday, May 5th.  This is a dress up (Sunday’s best) day instead of mass uniforms.  Students are not allowed to wear jeans or shorts.   Each student is asked to bring a fresh flower to school next Thursday for this special occasion.  We will take the flowers to mass with us to be placed on the altar surrounding Mary.  All are welcome!
