It’s hard to believe this Sunday is already Palm Sunday, the beginning of Holy Week, in which we remember Jesus’ triumphant entrance into Jerusalem days before he was crucified.  Today we read and talked about Palm Sunday.  I also introduced the children to our Resurrection Eggs which we will be opening every day to help us learn about the story of Easter.  We have many special activities planned as a school family next week.  We will have our all school Seder Meal on Holy Thursday at 1:30, a Lenten retreat in the morning on Good Friday followed by “Mary’s Way of the Cross” in church at 12:45.  Our 8th grade buddies have been working very hard in preparation for their Good Friday presentation of “Mary’s Way of the Cross,” a dramatization of Jesus’ carrying of the cross and crucifixion as seen from Mary’s perspective.  You are welcome to join us in church next Friday if you are available.  This is my favorite part of Holy Week at St. Rose School.  Our 8th grade students always do such a beautiful job!  We hope you can join us.  We will dismiss at 1:30 and there will be NO EXTENDED CARE.

*3/18  Final Knights of Columbus Fish Fry  for this Lenten season 4:30-7:00 p.m.

*3/19  Mass at 4:30 p.m., 8th grade/PRIDE spaghetti dinner at 5:30 in the PLC followed by PRIDE Family 80’s Dance at 7:00 p.m. (costumes encouraged; students must be with a parent).

*3/20 Palm Sunday Mass at 7:30 a.m. & 11:30 a.m.

*3/23  Our weekly mass will be on WEDNESDAY next week instead of Thursday.  Students should wear mass uniforms on Wednesday.

*3/24  Seder Meal

*3/25  Math-A-Thon envelope and money due.

*Please note that we will have early dismissal on Good Friday (3/25) at 1:30 with NO EXTENDED CARE, we will NOT have school on Easter Monday (3/28) and Spring Break begins on Friday, April 1st (no school).  Uniform shorts may been worn when we RETURN from spring break EXCEPT for mass days.
