Reading- Zathura (science fiction)
Many students were excited to read this story because it’s written by the famous author Chris Van Allsburg. You may remember his other works Polar Express and Jumanji.
We will work on the skill Draw Conclusions. Authors don’t always tell readers everything in a story, so we may have to draw on our own conclusions and experiences to better understand the story.
Students will be responsible for vocabulary and spelling lists.
Spelling: We are back to a list of 25 words. All students have a list! Pre-tests are given on Mondays. Final test will be on Friday.
Ask what a spelling card is!
Science- .Ask your child what they learned about RATS. We derailed the train from the ordinary Science lessons to spice life up a bit. We will return to the tracks next week.
