Our annual Christmas Program will be held on Dec. 10th at 7pm.   Please see the blog post from Mrs. Langferman regarding the details. (Students shall not be at school any earlier than 6:30, please!)

Religion-

We are keeping Advent journals daily to help our hearts prepare the way for our King!

Also, see the bulletin for information about a Mission presentation by Father Justin. I have heard many positive things about his work.  Come get your heart ready for Christ this Christmas!

Please spend some time with your family working with the Take Home Family Time pages at home. You can help your child connect with what we will be learning at school.

Reading- From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler (novel)

Read chapters 5-8 this week!  We will finish the book next week with chapters 9 and 10. Some nightly reading may be needed if not finished during class time.

Students will be responsible for vocabulary and spelling lists.

Spelling: We are back to a list of 20 words.

Pre-tests are given on Mondays. Final test will be on Friday.

Ask what a spelling card is!

Science-  We are studying weather effects on Indiana farming.  We will also study different types of weather scientists and their jobs

The Book Fair has rolled back into town!  Students previewed it today and can purchase items on Thursday!

Ask your child about “Coloring for Camp” and what Mrs. Tieken plans to do to her hair! AHHHH!

Wednesday, 12/9 is a Student Council sponsored NUT Day to help a local family with medical bills.  Students may come out of uniform dressed as their favorite Christmas movie character!

School Cancellations and Delays – St. Rose follows Franklin Community School for cancellations and delays. When delays or cancellations occur, they will be announced on local stations (CBS, ABC and NBC) under ‘Franklin Community Schools’. St. Rose will, also, send out an email through Jupiter. On the morning of, you may call the school office at 738-3451 to verify any delays or cancellations.
