Hang on tight!  The end of the year is packed full of many things to accomplish.  Please check our school website and Mrs. Floyd’s ROAR weekly so you don’t miss a beat!

Here’s a snap shot:

1.Veteran’s Day Prayer Service is on Wednesday at 8:30am.  Feel free to invite the veterans you may know.  Students may wear red, white, or blue for a small donation.  Money will go to help a Wounded Warrior with PTSD. Your continued generosity is appreciated!

2. House Meetings are going well in the Lion’s Den.  Students are encouraged to wear their “house” color and bring a $1 to help offset the victory meal in December.

3. Field Trip– We are going 11/17 to Clowes Hall to see the performance of The BFG.  We have enough drivers, so thank you!  Student tickets are $8 and slips went home over a week ago.

4. Blessing Baskets are need by November 20th.  Please use this sign-up link:   http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c084facaa2fa6f49-blessing

5. Last Friday Sister Loretta spoke to the children about a service project for the Missionary Childhood Association.  Check out the blog on our website or Facebook page!

Religion-

Chapter 4: Sacramentals are Signs of God’s Love

Scripture Story- “The Triumph of the Faithful”from Revelation

Sacramentals include but are not limited to:  rosaries, medals, holy water fonts, holy statues, blessings, and sacred actions.  They are used to remind us of God’s love.  Perhaps your family could identify sacramentals in your home and reflect on how they remind you of God’s love.   We will also talk about Saints, our Catholic role-models.  We will study a few saints and their contributions to our faith.
