MATH – We are continuing to work on Multiplication this week. We will work on multiplying by 10, 3, 6, and 7! We will also look at making an organized list and using a multiplication table. Be sure to practice the multiplication facts with your child and keep turning in those purple slips! We are still missing a few of the first slips that say you, the parent, have read the information and will be helping out at home! We did have 7 students earn their sundae bowl last week! 🙂
SCIENCE – We will continue with our Plants and Animals chapter this week. We will talk about food chains and food webs, and the Roles of plants and animals.
SOCIAL STUDIES – We will focus on Science over the next few weeks!
TEACHER NOTES –
**Tuesday we will be visited by the Smokebusters of St. Francis Hospital. This is a group of Respiratory Therapists that come and talk to the class about the effects of smoking and tobacco use. I have had this group come to my room for many years. The kids always come away with lots of information that will hopefully help them stay tobacco free!
**Every year we are honored to help fill a Blessing Basket for a family in our community. I have created a Sign Up Genius for you to sign up to help donate items. I found out last week that we have a family of 4. The family is a mom, dad, a boy (age 6) and a girl (age 9). Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for helping out a family in need! Please click here for the link to the SIGN UP GENIUS website!
