Today is the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed.  We remember and pray for our loved ones who have died.  Please take a moment to pray with your child.

Thanks to everyone who helped make our Halloween party fun and festive!  It’s great to have your support!

Chapter 3: Living the Beatitudes

TEST on Tuesday!  Students have a study guide, a review set, a “cootie catcher”, and an online quiz in portaportal for all their studying needs!

The Beatitudes show us how to live like Jesus.  We are called to recognize that God calls us to use our gifts and talents for the good of others.




Chapter 4: Division by One-Digit Numbers

Lesson 1- Estimate Quotients (please make sure your child knows what the divisor, quotient and dividend are)

Students have a review pages to work on Monday night.

Also, study guides with high-lighted information pertinent to the test.

Spelling: We are back to a list of 25 words.

Pre-tests are given on Mondays. Final test will be on Friday.

Science-  Process of photosynthesis, transpiration, and respiration in plants

We are wrapping up Chapter two; after review and practice we will have our test next Tuesday.


Field Trip:  We are excited to attend a professional performance of one of our favorite stories, “The BFG”.  This production by the Dallas Performance Company will be at Clowes Hall on Nov. 17th.  Student tickets are $8 and adult tickets are $15.  Thanks to the Belden, Barnaby and Simpson families for driving!

School Cancellations and Delays – St. Rose follows Franklin Community School for cancellations and delays. When delays or cancellations occur, they will be announced on local stations (CBS, ABC and NBC) under ‘Franklin Community Schools’. St. Rose will, also, send out an email through Jupiter. On the morning of, you may call the school office at 738-3451 to verify any delays or cancellations.

SPIRIT DAY is this Friday! Wear your blue and gold.  Good Luck to our 3/4 football team as they compete in the City Championship on Saturday!
