I just received WONDERFUL news from Sarah Taylor,  the Franklin Library’s Branch Manager!  She shared our school’s numbers as well as the statistics for other school corporations across the county for the Kindergarten Library Card Application Drive and St. Rose Kindergarten has the HIGHEST percentage!  WOW!  Thank you so much, parents, for supporting this initiative to improve library access for our students!  Sarah also wanted to remind us that from October 1st through December 31st, the library is running a special program for kindergarten students with library cards.  Be sure to take your FAVORITE St. Rose kindergarten student to the library with their library card to earn some prizes & become a Library Star.   It’s evident all of you support my favorite “recipe for literacy!”

MRS. BORING’S FAVORITE RECIPE FOR LITERACY

1 relaxed child, bathed, fed and at peace with the world
1 book of colorful pictures and/or a good story
1 accommodating parental lap, complete with owner who
enjoys the book and shows it in his face, voice, and
   whole self.

These are to be combined and taken every evening with

no interruptions allowed.

Keep up the good work and keep reading!
