Hello Parents,

Kindergarten Bound and Lion Cub Parents:

Just a reminder to all parents, PLEASE make sure your child is wearing socks when they come to school. Socks are part of the preschool dress code.

Please note: Thursday, October 8 all students will dismiss at 1:30pm for the teachers to prepare for their conferences. Please mark your calendars to remember to pick up your child at 1:30pm.

Kindergarten Bound Parents:

The children are working on the letter Gg this week. We had our second “test” on writing our letters from Aa-Ff. I will share the results of your child’s “test” during parent/teacher conferences next week.

Please note: All conferences will be held in the Lion Cubs room across the hall from the school office.

If you have any questions regarding parent/teacher conferences for next week, please let me know. If you are not able to make your conference, please email me, so we can reschedule for another date and time.

We had 9 preschoolers who did not bring show and tell last week. It is part of the children’s academics to look for one item at home that starts with the letter of the week. Please help your child to find something to bring each week on Fridays for their letter of the week show and tell.

Lion Cubs:

After much thought, I have decided the Lion Cubs do not need to have parent/teacher conferences. They are learning the basics such as sharing, developing their attention span, following directions and working on their fine motor skills. All the Lion Cubs are working in the right direction and I don’t see any need at this time to meet with the Lion Cub parents. When they enter into the Kindergarten Bound Preschool class next year, there will be a need to meet and discuss your child’s academics and how they are progressing towards Kindergarten for following year.

If you have any concerns regarding your child, I am more than happy to make an appointment to meet with you and discuss your concerns. At this time, I have no concerns regarding any of the Lion Cub preschoolers and their development.

Have a wonderful week,

Mrs. Mace
