Wowza! What a week I had with Mrs. Floyd and Mrs. Adams in Washington, D.C.!  So many times over my heart was filled with sheer joy at what we were experiencing. I hope you had similar feelings as you watched coverage of Pope Francis’ historical visit, too! I can’t begin to express to my St. Rose family the appreciation I have for your support and generosity!  We certainly could not have done this once in a lifetime visit without you!  Thank you, thank you, thank you doesn’t seem adequate enough!

(Also, I appreciate your patience with me as I get grades caught-up.  I’m working on it!  Still looking at ways to enter conduct/behavior, but no need to worry– your angels are fine! 😉  )

PRIDE’s Dine to Donate is tonight (Monday, 9/28) at Chicago’s Pizza!  Don’t forget to mention St. Rose when you check out.

Parent-Teacher Conferences are on the horizon.  Look for more information to come home about your date/time.  It will either be Wednesday, 10/7 or Thursday, 10/8.  I’m looking forward to seeing you!  Students must attend with a parent.*

Fall Break is ‘a coming, too!  Enjoy a week on starting Oct. 12!

Welcome to our new family in St. Rose!  We are happy to have Anastasia join our class.

Chapter 2: The Seven Sacraments

Faith Focus: In the Seven Sacraments, we celebrate the Paschal Mystery of Jesus Christ.  In Baptism we pledge ourselves to deliver the Gospel of Jesus to the world.  The Good News we proclaim is that God the Father loves us and has shown us his love through the Incarnation and by raising his Son from death to new life.  Through the Seven Sacraments, God makes a pledge to us.  He pledges to give us his unconditional and unending love.  This love comes to us through the Paschal Mystery- the life, Death, Resurrection, and Ascension of Jesus Christ.

Please ask your child to tell you about Sanctifying Grace (God’s free gift of his life.  It frees us from sin and helps us live holy lives).

Remember: Family Time can be done for extra credit. Simply send a note from home!

Lesson 2- Hands-on: Model the Distributive Property

Lesson 3- Use Logical Reasoning

Please be patient as I get grades caught up on assignments and tests. Thank you for understanding!

Chapter 2 The Earliest Americans
