A day late and a dollar short…..sorry!
Kindergarten Bound and Lion Cub Parents:
I am so happy to have Mrs. Sutton back!!!!
If your child does not have a folder, please make sure they have a folder for their school papers and also for important papers that we don’t want lost in their book bags. Thank you!
Dates to remember:
Monday, September 7……………….No School – Labor Day
Kindergarten Bound Parents:
This week the children will start on the letter Dd. We will also practice writing the letters Aa-Cc as a class. We are working hard getting everyone to recognize his or her nametag. Suggestions to help your child: write his or her name on a piece of paper and put it on the refrigerator. When they go to the kitchen, they can look at their name. Put alphabet letters on the refrigerator and have them spell their name. Another suggestion would be having them write their name several times. We will continue to work hard in class with recognizing and writing our name.
Lion Cub Parents:
The children did a great job learning the color Red song! I hope they have sung the song to you. We are going to learn a new color song, the green song. We are going to continue with the seasons, learning to recognize our name and we will start learning to write our name. The children are doing a great job with the months of the year, days of the week and counting the numbers on the calendar. As I suggested for the Kindergarten Bound parents on how to help your child recognize he or her name; here are some suggestions; write his or her name on a piece of paper and put it on the refrigerator. When they go to the kitchen, they can look at their name. Put alphabet letters on the refrigerator and have them spell their name.
If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
Have a great week,
